The Legacy of Amma Veedu
In the southern villages of Tamil Nadu, "Amma Veedu" (Mother's Home) represents a sanctuary of warmth, rich hospitality, and the aroma of slow-cooked, nutritious food. It is where heritage recipes are kept alive in stone grinders and copper cauldrons.
We started with a simple vision: to bring these pure, natural, and unprocessed food products back into the modern urban kitchen. We source all our heirloom grains directly from local farming co-operatives that practice sustainable, pesticide-free agriculture.
Our flours are stone-ground to preserve nutrients, our sweets are sweetened using iron-rich palm jaggery, and our oils are pressed in wooden extractors (Vaghai wood) just as they were centuries ago. Every package is a promise of health, love, and tradition.
